SPACE AT CAPEGATE FAQs
WHAT IS THE COST?
The cost is R60 per 30 minute session and includes access to all activities. There will be card facilities available at the event entrance. Cash will also be accepted.
WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?
Tickets are only available at the event entrance. Cash and cards are accepted.
ARE PARENTS WELCOME?
Parents are most welcome to accompany their child through SPACE free of charge. If parents want to enter the planetarium though, they will have to purchase a ticket.
Seating will be available for parents to make use of while their child plays.
WHERE IS IT STATIONED?
SPACE will be stationed under the food court bridge on the lower level as we as in the centre court. The Planetarium will be in the MRP court. Look for the rocket stickers on the floor!
The closest entrances will be 3 (open parking) and 6 (undercover parking)
WHAT ACTIVITIES CAN WE EXPECT?
Your little discoverer will be able to learn more about space, enjoy a thrilling rocket ride and slide, get to climb through a 16m wormhole and laser zone and take cool space selfies to capture the experience.
Younger space travellers are bound to have some educational fun in the planetarium where they will discover amazing facts about outer space and view space videos on the inside of the dome.
Our moon rock pit is bound to be good fun too!
HOW LONG IS THE SESSION?
Each session is 30 minutes long.
WHAT ARE THE EVENT HOURS?
Monday –Saturday: 10h00 – 20h00 (last session starts at 19h30)
Sunday: 10h00 – 18h00 (last session starts at 17h30)
ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?
No there are no age restrictions but we think SPACE at Capegate is most suitable to children between the ages of 3 – 12 years old.

IS THERE A DROP & GO OPTION?
For safety reasons, each child visiting Space to be accompanied by a parent or guardian in either the main event area or planetarium. Capegate and event staff does not accept liability for any children.
CAN I TAKE PHOTOS?
You are welcome to take pictures of your family having fun. There will even be a space photo wall for the perfect space picture. We just ask that you please don’t take pictures of other children unless you have consent from their parent or guardian.
WILL PASS OUTS BE ALLOWED?
Yes. For each session you will receive a sticker for that day and time. Please make sure that you keep it visible at all times and show it at the entrance when you return. Keep in mind that the sessions are only 30 minutes long so it would be best to make a bathroom and snack stop before you arrive so that you can get the most out of the experience.
