Dish of the Week: One-Pot Chicken Pasta
We've teamed up with foodie, chef and food stylist, Bas Newman (@bas_new on Instagram), to bring you an easy-to-make dish of the week during lockdown. These dishes will include ingredients that you are likely to have in your fridge or pantry - put them together they create something different and delicious!

ONE-POT CHICKEN PASTA
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter/oil
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 250g uncooked pasta of your choice
- 3 chicken breasts, cut into cubes and fried before setting aside
- 1 cup milk, keep extra if needed
- 250g uncooked pasta of your choice
- salt and pepper to season
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- fresh parsley to garnish
Steps
- Add 2 tbsp of oil/butter to a hot pan.
- Add 4 chopped garlic cloves and fry for about 1 minute. Take care not to burn.
- Add the chicken stock, milk and uncooked pasta and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the ingredients, reduce to a simmer and season.
- Stir regularly until the pasta is cooked through, for about 15 minutes.
- Add the cooked chicken and grated cheese, and mix in. If the pasta thickens too much, loosen with more milk.
- Serve immediately and garnish with fresh parsley.
