Bring the kids down to the centre over the Festive season to enjoy some neon skating fun!

Capegate will be host to a mini artificial ice skating rink, which is very much like the real thing. The rink is most suitable for kids between the ages of 5 – 12 years old and open every day from 24 November – 13 January, except Christmas day.

Kids pay only R50 for a 40 minute session, and if they bring their own skates they pay just R40.

Bookings will only take place at the event entrance, so try to arrive at least 15 minutes early to get your perfect slot. Skate sizes are limited so feel free to bring your own pair for guaranteed fun!

TIMES & DATES

24 November: 10am – 8pm (last session is at 7pm)

25 November: 10am – 5pm (last session is at 4pm)

26-30 November: 1pm – 8pm (last session at 7pm)

1 December – 12 January: 10am – 8pm (last session at 7pm – closed on Christmas Day)

13 January: 10am – 5pm (last session at 4pm)

TO NOTE:

Strictly no children under the age of five years old allowed.

Limited shoe sizes are available, which is allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that we cannot guarantee that the correct size will be available for your skating session.

No food or drink will be allowed in the rink.

Socks are compulsory – please bring along your own pair.

Strictly no drop and go option. Parent or guardians can wait for their children in the cafe area adjacent to the rink.

No cash allowed. Debit / credit facilities will be on site, as well as Zapper.

All parents / guardians will be required to sign an indemnity form.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT IS A GLICE RINK? Glice is a state of the art 10 x 6m synthetic ice rink that works without electricity or water, but still offers the same experience as a water-based ice rink.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE? There is no specific dress code as the glice is not cold, but we would encourage you to dress to the neon-theme for even more awesomeness. Don’t forget to wear a thick pair of socks too!

HOW BIG IS THE RINK? The rink is 6x10m (60sqm) so will only be able to accommodate 14 kids at a time.

ARE THERE SPECIFIC TIME SLOTS? Yes, there are! Every hour from opening to closing.

HOW OFTEN WILL THERE BE SESSIONS? There will be a session every hour.

HOW LONG CAN I SKATE FOR? You can skate for 40 minutes.

ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTED RATES? Yes, if you bring your own skates you only pay R40.

IS THERE A DROP & GO OPTION? No, there is unfortunately no drop and go option. There will be a section for parents to watch their kids.
