Security
We want you to feel safe.
The security of our shoppers and stores is of the utmost importance and we strive to provide the safest shopping environment possible. To this end, we work closely with the SAPS, security experts, and neighbouring centres to identify the latest crime trends and security threats to ensure Capegate’s safety by regularly re-assessing our security measures.
Extensive security measures are in place, including 24-hour closed-circuit television, patrollers on Segways, LPR camera systems, and regular patrols by uniformed as well as undercover guards, on foot and via response vehicle.
Additionally, Capegate Shopping Centre has employed Fidelity Security Services, a leading security company to ensure the safety of the mall. Fidelity Security Services is a well-established and respected company with security personnel who are trained to offer value-added benefits to stores and shoppers. First Aid
A first-aid medic responder is one site on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and during school holidays from 9am- 8pm Monday to Saturday, and 9am – 6pm on Sundays.
If you are experiencing an emergency or are in need of first aid assistance, please alert our Security Guards and Information Assistants.
Capegate has a doctor on-site during most trading hours and both Dis-Chem and Clicks offer clinic services within their stores.
The centre is situated right opposite Mediclinic Capegate, providing our visitors with quick and easy access to emergency services if it should become necessary.
